Bonch Salami – Salami is a traditional Italian dish. It was there that the peasants, seeking to extend the shelf life of meat in a warm and humid climate, came up with the idea of curing minced meat with the addition of a large amount of salt and spices. The Italian colonists brought the secret recipe of this delicacy to America, and from there it gained its wide popularity. The Italians themselves say that the word “salame” comes from the Italian “sale” – salt, which indicates the method of production of this product. During drying, the sausage casing is covered with a thin layer of penicillin white mold, which gives it sophistication and uniqueness, and also protects it from spoilage. Today, salami is a delicacy with countless ways to consume it. It is added to pizzas, soups, various salads, focaccia, served with cheeses and fruits.
