The technologists chose it because it met the specified requirements, namely, with a high strength, the leaf does not have a bright tobacco taste, which allows it to better apply aromatics and open up to it during smoking. It is important to know that pure Burley is being used, and not a blend of Burley with another variety, because this is done to hide the bright tobacco unpleasant taste of Burley.
